Catalina, Chilean Illustrator based in United States, uses colour to communicate a fun mood and simplest lines that can describe the characters or objects. Even though she works digitally, she likes to preserve the feel of a handmade not-so-rigid edges, pencil textures and freehand lines illustration. Catalina finds inspiration in the depiction of modern urban life, and the shapes of common objects while using her strong sense of which elements need to ‘pop out’ at viewers. She enjoys portraits, but would love to see her work also in packaging designs, editorial illustrations and surface design. She loves to be challenged by exiting projects.
